Topic: Improving “last-mile” travel for those experiencing disabilities
My role: Collaborated with students from design programs at Penn, MIT, Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon. Began with emapthy exercise to simulate experiencing life with a hearing impairment. Following, worked through the design process in 24 hours to develop insights, ideate, prototype, and propose potential solutions to improve the last mile travel experience.
Healthcare Innovation Challenge 2018
Topic: Making electronic medical records more useful at Penn Medicine
My role: Collaborated with interdisciplinary team comprised of medicine, engineering, and business students. Through contextual research, identified pain-points, developed insights, prototyped and tested solutions attempting to get more patients to use Penn Medicine’s online EHR platform.
Healthcare Innovation Challenge 2019
Topic: Reducing patient lateness to appointments at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
My role: Organized and led 3-week design challenge sprint for interdisciplinary graduate students. Collaborated with University of Pennsylvania Health System stakeholders to frame a problem for the challenge to focus on and with strategists from Frog design to guide students through the design process.
